A Special Tropical Weather Outlook has been issued for the system located over the central Atlantic. This system has a medium chance of becoming a subtropical cyclone during the next few days as it moves slowly northeastward. See hurricanes.gov for details.

The coldest temperature I’ve recorded at my station this year was -4.6°C on the 21st January. That record could well fall towards the end of this week when we could see the fall widely to -5°C or lower.
